Ahmed Al Omran is a Saudi journalist who works as a correspondent for The Wall Street Journal.
Born and raised in Hofuf, eastern Saudi Arabia, he graduated with a Master’s degree in digital media from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, New York. He has worked for the National Public Radio in Washington DC, before returning to his home country where he launched the site Riyadh Bureau. Before that, his blog Saudi Jeans was one of the most well-known and long standing blogs in the Middle East. His work has also appeared in major publications such as the New York Times, the Guardian and Foreign Policy.
